A report by the Iraqi Observatory for Human Rights revealed "terrifying" cases of harassment in Iraqi hospitals, universities and media, through which women are bargained for "sex" in exchange for treatment, study and work, amid calls from activists to address the matter and enact deterrent laws.
The Iraqi Observatory said in its report, "Cases of sexual and verbal harassment are increasing in many governmental and private facilities - including homes in Iraq - according to testimonies of victims and eyewitnesses".
